Every town follows the same state process, in which you apply at your local department online through the MIRCS Unified Gun Portal or on paper, and the fee for most applicants is $100. The sections below show what the Revere department adds to it.

How to apply

  • All new applicants must turn in their application in-person during office hours.
  • Please note that if you have completed an application through the States NEW MIRCS Online Portal, you MUST still come into the station during office hours to complete the application process.

Appointments and hours

  • Office hours: Thursdays 2:00pm to 8:00pm (Except Holidays)

Processing time

  • The Revere Police Department is currently operating at approx. 2 months between receiving the application and approval or denial.
  • Upon an Approval being sent to the State for printing, it can take approx. 4 to 8 weeks to receive that LTC/FID card back so we can activate it.

Renewals

  • RENEWAL applications can be dropped off to Officer Matos during normal office hours.
