Every town follows the same state process, in which you apply at your local department online through the MIRCS Unified Gun Portal or on paper, and the fee for most applicants is $100. The sections below show what the Yarmouth department adds to it.
How to apply
- New license applicants must come to the Yarmouth Police Department Records Division on Tuesday or Thursday to submit their application and have their fingerprints taken.
- We will not accept applications that are mailed or dropped off for New Applicants.
Fees and payment
- Please be sure to include cash, check or money order for the licensing fee in the amount of $100.
- Make all checks and money orders payable to TOWN OF YARMOUTH.
Renewals
- Applicants renewing a current firearms license must submit an application and complete the Affidavit page.
- Renewal applicants will not require new fingerprints.
