Every town follows the same state process, in which you apply at your local department online through the MIRCS Unified Gun Portal or on paper, and the fee for most applicants is $100. The sections below show what the Brimfield department adds to it.

- LTC/FID applications are now submitted online using the MIRCS Unified Gun Portal.
- YOU NEED TO BRING YOUR PRINTED APPLICATION FROM THE PORTAL & PAYMENT TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT.
- If you do not, your application will NOT be processed.
Appointments and hours
- Firearm licensing office hours are on Wednesdays from 5 - 8pm on a walk-in basis.
Fees and payment
- Payment must be Cash or a Check made out to the "Town of Brimfield".
Fingerprints and interview
- Fingerprints for NEW applicants will be taken at the Police Department.
