Every town follows the same state process, in which you apply at your local department online through the MIRCS Unified Gun Portal or on paper, and the fee for most applicants is $100. The sections below show what the Chicopee department adds to it.
How to apply
- Complete and submit your License to Carry application through the Massachusetts Licensing Portal (LTC-100).
What to bring
- You must complete a Massachusetts approved firearms safety course that includes live fire.
- Provide acceptable proof of residency such as a current utility bill, lease, bank statement, or other official document that shows your name and Chicopee address.
Fees and payment
- Submit a bank check or money order made out to the City of Chicopee for the required application fee.
- Cash is not accepted.
