Every town follows the same state process, in which you apply at your local department online through the MIRCS Unified Gun Portal or on paper, and the fee for most applicants is $100. The sections below show what the Berkley department adds to it.

Fees and payment
- Effective July 1, 2024, all LTC and Fid payments will be made online prior to submitting the application.
- Applicants must submit a copy of the payment receipt with the application.
