Every town follows the same state process, in which you apply at your local department online through the MIRCS Unified Gun Portal or on paper, and the fee for most applicants is $100. The sections below show what the Dighton department adds to it.

  • In addition to the 2 proof of residency forms, a MA driver’s license or MA ID card will also be required during application interview.

Fees and payment

  • $100.00 non-refundable check or money order payable to the Town of Dighton, for a LTC or FID.
  • $25.00 non-refundable check or money order payable to the Town of Dighton for an FID being issued to anybody under the age of 18.

Renewals

  • There is no renewal fee for persons over age 70 for any type of license.
