Every town follows the same state process, in which you apply at your local department online through the MIRCS Unified Gun Portal or on paper, and the fee for most applicants is $100. The sections below show what the New Braintree department adds to it.

- New LTC applicants must provide a copy of their Handgun Safety course certificate.

- Anyone renewing a license should plan on renewing it 3-6 months prior to the expiration of the license.
