Every town follows the same state process, in which you apply at your local department online through the MIRCS Unified Gun Portal or on paper, and the fee for most applicants is $100. The sections below show what the Rutland department adds to it.
Appointments and hours
- The Rutland Police Department processes licenses to carry (LTC) and firearms identification cards (FID) applications on Wednesday evenings between the hours of 4:00pm and 8:00pm.
