Every town follows the same state process, in which you apply at your local department online through the MIRCS Unified Gun Portal or on paper, and the fee for most applicants is $100. The sections below show what the Carlisle department adds to it.

How to apply

  • Do not drop off completed applications at the station without speaking to Sgt. Arguoyan; new and renewal applicants are fingerprinted and photographed at the time of their appointment.

Fees and payment

  • Please bring a CHECK or MONEY ORDER for $100 payable to the Town of Carlisle at the time of your appointment.

Renewals

  • You may fill out a renewal form on the Firearms Licensing Portal; however, it may result in a delay in processing your application as we do not routinely monitor online submissions and you are still required to make an appointment for fingerprints and photos.
  • Applicants must have an appointment for renewal.
