Every town follows the same state process, in which you apply at your local department online through the MIRCS Unified Gun Portal or on paper, and the fee for most applicants is $100. The sections below show what the Tewksbury department adds to it.

- You may either drop off the application packet in person or mail the application to the police station noting “FIREARMS LICENSING “ on the envelope.
Fees and payment
- If you are mailing in your application or dropping off, you may pay by check or Money Order ONLY, made out to “Town of Tewksbury”.
- The Fee is nonrefundable, and CASH IS ONLY ACCEPTED IN PERSON.
