Every town follows the same state process, in which you apply at your local department online through the MIRCS Unified Gun Portal or on paper, and the fee for most applicants is $100. The sections below show what the Lincoln department adds to it.

  • Once the application has been received, the Licensing Sergeant will contact you.

What to bring

  • All applicants will need to provide proof of residency (Ex: Tax form or similar documentation).

Fees and payment

  • The application fee for LTC/FID applicants under the age of 70 is $100.
  • There is no licensing fee for applicants who are 70 years of age and older.
  • The licensing fee for FID applicants under the age of 18 years old is $25.
  • The application fee for Law Enforcement Officers is $25.
