Every town follows the same state process, in which you apply at your local department online through the MIRCS Unified Gun Portal or on paper, and the fee for most applicants is $100. The sections below show what the Holliston department adds to it.

Appointments and hours

  • New LTC/FID applicants: New LTC/FIDs are by appointment only.
  • Sgt. Remkus will reach out to schedule an appointment once your application is viewed in the online portal; this is for new applicants only.

Fees and payment

  • Cash is no longer accepted.

Renewals

  • If you are renewing your LTC, you will need to come down to the station with a check made out to Town of Holliston before your application can be processed.
  • LTC/FID renewals: Sgt. MacGray processes renewals on the overnight shift (11pm-7am, rotating shifts).
  • Please contact Sgt. Remkus (3pm-11pm, rotating shifts) for questions concerning renewals.
